After trying out pretty much all of them I ended up using RLO (interiors only) + ELE. For exteriors I didn't find anything to my liking. For some reason authors like to use non-vanilla assets or/and add meaningless whistles, such as fake RT or ENB Light requirements, and I don't like that.
with the enhancer i have to download a compatibility patch for "Immersive Citizens". I googled it and the first thing that popped up was ELFX fixes which states "Compatible by default with Immersive Citizens AI Overhaul" so I downloaded it and looking at the compatibility page for "Immersive Citizens" it says
Mandatory load order: https://ai-gamer.com/skyrim/ic-se/
EnhancedLightsandFX.esp
Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp
ELFXEnhancer.esp / ELFX - Hardcore.esp
Immersive Citizens - ELFXEnhancer patch.esp / Immersive Citizens - ELFXHardcore patch.esp
so does that mean i should move "ELFX fixes" after "ELFX E" even though it states it needs to be before "ELFX E".
NEVER MIND IM BEING STUPID AGAIN. i fixed it. this is embarrassing
Most people never think about how lighting can effect the nighteye power, but it can make a big difference, especially if you adjusted your brightness settings.
If you never use nighteye, you can ignore this. But if you do use it, you might need a mod for that too.
