It is usually suggested to have cloud saves turned off for Skyrim.
I personally do not ever use anything cloud related if I can help it. But I'm old and grew up before the internet and spent all day playing outside in the sunshine as soon as the sun came up.
I too grew up in the days of Rotary Phones and Porno Mags. Traipsing off into the wilderness to return dirty and bitten by bugs and animals. So I gotta ask. What the #($* does that have to do with anything?
I agree with your Cloud stuff though. Hate the Cloud and everything about it (except for the part where it gets me what I want). I gotta say, I don't regret staying inside as much as possible through my life. When the Covid Lockdowns hit it didn't impact me at all.
I found the answers.
Shadow is, by far the best cloud gaming (allow even mods), but its soooooo expensive (30€/Month while GeForce only 10€)
If you are only going to use it less than four years, it is cheaper than buying a new PC to run high end apps
