Nordic Jewelry Bugged

Anyone know the quest command for the Nordic Jewelry quest. It is hopelessly bugged. No certificate of authenticity for the Nordic jewelry I purchased. No book or paper with the body on how to make the jewelry. Sick of trying to make this quest work. It's just hopeless.

Is this with mods? I use no mods and have not encountered this bug ... yet.

Just did this yesterday. Actually I didn't have time to look for the note so I left and came back the next day and it was right there plain as day. Maybe try leaving the area entirely, go do some stuff, go through some loading screens and time, then come back and check.

No mods. Playing the game straight for the achievements. I didn't do the quest when it first came up, when I shouted at the stones to turn them off, but waited for a long time after that and then went back to do it. It says search the area, which I did over and over. Found his body and his apothecary bag but no note or book. Went back to Whiterun and then back to Solsteim and nothing. Purchased Nordic jewelry but no certificate of authenticity.

Have had other bugs with this game. Apparently, if you don't do things in a particular order then it gets bugged. Like the Jarl of Falkreath. If you don't do that quest before the war and the Jarls change, well, your screwed.

It may be that when you were away the bag might have reset to an empty state.

Bag had some items in it. Just no the directions on how to make the jewelry. And no certificates of authenticity when I purchased the Nordic jewelry.

I agree there are many bugs either ignored or unreported in the cc/dlc. Even this will end up getting buried and forgotten by most.

Possibly, not had this myself, even when I did that particular quest with mods, but that was before AE came out.

Finally found the console command if anyone needs it. But didn't get credit for the quest. Thats ok. Too frustrating.

That is because complete quest and its cousin setstage aren't meant to be used normally, reloading a old save is a much better idea.

Would have done but I didn't have a save close enough. Forget to save sometimes. Would have lost a lot of accomplishment going back.

Best advice is to save wisely and often, as it provides a fix for most bugs.
I generally keep 20 or more depending on how often I clean up old saves.
