Do you use simply knock? (Or simpler knock)
Just curious if anyone uses this mod (or the non-skse version simpler knock). If so, how often you actually use it's features in a given game?

Given that i use survival mods (INEED) simply knock seems like one of those amazing mods on paper that will never actually get used in my game. I was hoping for a testimonial or two from actual users on how often you "knock" on a door.

Its nice, especially when I need to ask a npc about a quest at night.
For simply knock don't forget to get the fixed dll.
Yeah, simply knock is one of those little tweaks that adds so much to the experience. Highly recommended. As Hazak said there is a fix needed or it will cause crashes. Worth it though

It works great! Nice "little" quality of life improvement

So you guys find yourself using it decently often then? Or is it one of those "once every hundred hours" type of things?

It absolutely sounds like a great mod on paper. But i'm wondering if i'd ever really use it. With survival mods i feel like it's "knock on door, turn in quest, visit inn" which could just be reordered to "visit inn, turn in quest during the day".

I'm not arguing against it, btw, just hoping that i'm not being imaginative enough....lol.

I don't use it. I have had to wait for questgivers, or pick the locks and hope they follow me outside after yelling 'you don't belong here' etc
Does it make shop owners open for business?? That would be helpful, often having to rest to sell junk or buy supplies.

nah it doesnt open shops. I use it like once or twice a session. typically in the smaller quests just to clear it and move on. Im currently playing survival mode.

I really don't know how I played without it. Great mod.

Also great for getting out of the elements at night (Survival mode). Many times you can even use the/a bed in the house depending on how you play.

I'm speaking of Simply Knock^

But Simpler knock works as well. I happen to prefer Simply Knock.

I didn't realize the mod allowed you to sleep in the house without it counting as trespassing. Now that would be a feature i could see myself using. Rather than stop by the inn, my followers and i could stop by the home of a friend to "camp" for the night.

You can't get inside when utilizing the knock function of Simply Knock unless they allow you to enter. This in itself is a speech check of sorts and also works based on player relationship. So once inside the dwelling there are many possible outcomes.

Ok to be more specific as I was going off memory.
From the Simply Knock mod page:
"If anyone is home, they will answer the door! You can then flex your speechcraft skills in order to get them to allow you inside. If someone inside is a friend, they will always permit you to enter.

All house doors in Skyrim can be knocked on if locked, as well as some businesses where people live (farms, stores, etc).

If you need a quiet place to stay the night, or want to visit someone you know at odd hours, just knock on the door like a normal civilized person. Also useful for checking to see if anyone's home before you commit your next burglary".

I use it for all the above.

Then there's feature settings in the MCM
