When do you stop leveling?
That is, when do you feel sufficiently strong enough to not bother any more? Soft cap of level 81? Or much earlier?

Edit: I am currently level 55, and I am not seeing anything really difficult any more.

When I get to the point of not wanting to bother with leveling anymore, I start a new game. It just happens to be around level 50-55. I have never had a character reach level 60.

Hehe. I do the same in FO4. Most of the fun in the type of RPG FO4 and Skyrim are, is leveling up a different char, playing a different style. Once you reach the point you feel like a God among mortals, time for me to start a new run.

Playing Legendary?

My highest was in oldrim level 94 or something never got to that since, because I use mods that levels my character way slower .... also I use uncappers to affect levelling

I don't really worry much about what level I am, I don't see the point of grinding to get higher levels. I just... play the game and I'm whatever level I am.

Playing Legendary?

No; but lots of mods that ramps up the difficulty. I don't like the artificial, unnatural way that most "legendary" difficulties adjust things in games.

Well you are complaining about "not seeing anything really difficult any more " , maybe going to legendary, along with your mods, can make it more challenging.

Sometimes I feel like a sad geek trapped in my Smithing basement. Then I decide to go out for a while.

Not sure why anybody bothers with skills. I just max out enchantment, smithing and alchemy and make the occasional trip for supplies. At least, that was in normal difficulty. Trying Survival on 2nd playthrough now. I think breezehome in windhelm will be a main base for a while.

Leveling becomes less important to me once I have my Skills/perk points where I like/want them. And to a certain degree as you gain higher levels your "leveling up" slows down so you are almost forced to "not bother" or not care as much.

Then you mention "not seeing anything really difficult any more". So when that happens and I'm also no longer leveling I might simply start a new character with a new mod list.

I am not "complaining." You mistook the intent of the thread, and frankly I do not understand how you could take the thread in that direction.

Yes, that's where I am at. I am at level 55 and maxed out crafting and those combat or combat-relevant skills I will actually use such as 2H, archery, sneaking, and light armor. Essential Perks are done, too. In this context, will getting more levels - and ostensibly only gain HPs from level-ups - benefit me? For instance, are there any enemies with static levels that will out-level me at level 55 except Kaarstag (sp.?)?
