Low FPS with 2070 Super [Modded]

I'm having some issues with my game, I'm running 20-30 FPS with a 300 mod list, I have Relatively intense ENB and a reshade ( FN reshade vicatous Reshade) I'm running multiple high texture mods for environments etc, I've heard of people with much more mod intensive setups running this game with worse specs and getting more FPS, good example being the ENB and reshade who I found this from has almost they exact same mods as me with lesser computer equipment and still comes out with 70 fps

What am I doing wrong?

Lighting is a pain. It took me forever to figure this stuff out, and I'm still probably not as knowledgeable as some people in this forum. But make sure you don't use ELFX exteriors with TML. You just want the interiors, plus optionally the Enhancer. Here's what I'm using:

Skyrim particle patch for ENB[enbseries.enbdev.com]
SMIM
ELFX + Enhancer (not the exteriors or weather!)
ELFX fixes[www.nexusmods.com]
Mesh Patch for Various Mods[www.nexusmods.com] (and add any supported mods you like)
Tamriel Master Lights
KD's Fireplaces[www.nexusmods.com]
ENB Light
Embers XD
Embers and Fire Combo Patch[www.nexusmods.com] (For Embers XD + ENB Light)

Let Embers XD win any conflicts with ELFX or ENB Particle Patch files. I don't know if this will help your frame rate, but it would have to make your game more stable.

What settings did you use in DynDOLOD? You might consider looking at this thread[stepmodifications.org] as a guide. I'm still a bit confused by DynDOLOD, so this was helpful for me. The thread includes pics to help show how the settings affect quality.

The textures used in that screenshot are generally 4k, though there are a few 2k and 8k textures (mountains, sky, dragons, etc). In total, they take up about 10-12GB of VRAM. It adds up after a while. But you can see some of the lighting and flame effects.

By my count you have 6 different grass mods installed (3d forest grass, Verdant, SFO (depending on version), Tamrielic Grass, The Grass Must Grow, Veydosebrom). I don't see one of the prerequisite mods for Grass Must Grow (Folkvangr), though I might have missed it.

I don't see any patches for your grass, and if all of these are active simultaneously you have conflicts. Also, grass mods are notorious fps-killers. I'm not making any assumptions about what you had in mind, but unless you have a texture-by-texture plan, do you really need all of these?

Hey Soot,

Thanks for posting your Loot sorted load order. This is exactly what was needed. In most cases you can't get good advice without it and of course your pc specs.

There is also no need to use the Modern Brawl Fix along with Enhance Blood Textures mod as EBT includes that file so they conflict.

As I said in my first post you are receiving good advice, real good from what I can see at a glance. So please use it all.

Unfortunately with the amount and type of changes you need, once you figure it all out, you'll need to do a TRUE "Clean Vanilla Reinstall" of your game and then build your load order again. This is the only way you can have piece of mind while not wasting your efforts.

Also, did you set everything up properly when it comes to using both Reshade and an ENB in the same load order. This is of course important and there is much info out there on how to do it.

As an aside:

by the way, which mod manager are you using. Vortex is an outstanding mod manager and a there are couple of things worth mentioning when it comes to Vortex, one it comes with Loot built in but also use stand alone Loot because although Vortex vortex gives you Loot messages it also sometimes gives you a note in the plugins section to refer to loot for more info on certain mods. Because of this I rarely open Loot anymore. Once in a while I will double check my load order with Loot but they are almost always the same.

Vortex also stores copies of your Loot sorted Load order on your pc. I use Vortex for all my load orders for all my games and it has been a pleasure using it. That said if you are using MO2 it's every bit as good. They are both excellent mod managers.

Kyne's Grass[www.nexusmods.com] is a mix of different grass mods and might be a good choice if you're indecisive about grass. Otherwise, you might check out this guide[www.nexusmods.com] written by the author of Tamrielic Grass. It gives step-by-step instructions on how to create a patch in SSEEdit to allow Northern Grass to work with his mod.

Speaking of grass, No Grass In Objects[www.nexusmods.com] not only helps fix annoying grass issues but also gives you the option of using a precache. This requires you to commit to a grass mod because you have to regenerate the cache every time you modify your grass, but it should alleviate grass-related performance issues.

From your scrshot, it seems that not only you're using multiple grass mods, but you also have lots of texture mods that overlap each other.

Texture mods, like skyrim 3d landscape, septretional landscape, skyrim 2020paralax, cover the same area, so it's better if you just pick one of em (the mod that's rendered in the game is the one that's in your last install order).

Luckily you seem to use MO2, so this is a bit easier to fix.

I'd like you guys advice on this, Should I just go ahead and do a clean up (@Vlads post)And rework my mod list based off a modwatch list? I'm assuming to do this would be a quicker solution than to go through all my current mods and fix all the issues. From now I can assume my problem with FPS was with how my list was set out? I did take a look at and Vram did seem to be the issue I was maxing out nearly everywhere.
