sanguine quest

Hi,
I'm doing Oblivion Walker achievement - actually I found out that to do this I need to complete only few quests, since I've done most anyway. I've failed with Vaermina - skull has been destroyed - so now I really need to do all other quest ;-P. Right now doing Boetiath - should be easy - but before I started it, I've tried to do Sanguine quest. It has something to do with drinking and loosing conciousness. Anyway, I kind of remember that I used to participate in drinking contest, but I don't think I did anything beyond this. I don't recall full quest, nor I can find it in "solved" quests list.

Is there any way to find out about this? Maybe I didn't trigger it? How can I start this quest again? Too many questions... but I'm stuck with nothing, and I've read that this quest is started randomly in certain inn. Can I skip it and go forward other way?

If you're referring to the Sam Quevenne drinking challenge, he can be found at most Inns. I always find him in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun.

Go from inn to inn until you find Sam Guevenne

Also remember there are few inns not in cities. Dragonsbridge (west of Solitude), Old Hrolden inn (east of Markath), and that Inn west of Windhelm (I forget its name). Oh and Roricksteads inn.

Probley some I forgot so ...Iverstaead. See. Totally can't remember them all.

I've found him in Solitude. But funny thing: I've started the quest and it works fine, but I do remember waking up in the shrine... so I must have done that before. This is curious thing...

All you technically have to do is find him to get the staff.

I think this might be the case ;-P. Good red wine is something that helps the game be more immersive ;-).

I really think I've started this quest before - I remember the drinking part and then the part in the shrine. I think I've paid for the mess and that's it, there is no quest in "inventory". So either the quest can be re-done if the chain of actions is broken or... I must have not saved the game after doing this.

This is very funny, since I'm playing this game just once, so I can't be just recalling actions from previous attempts.

Anyway... drinking may cause problems, this is sure ;-)

After dealing with some issues I admit the quest itself is very easy, most probably one of the easiest among "deadric" ones. And it is kind'a funny too ;-)

He mostly spawn in at the first inn you'll visit when you reach a certain level.
