Tame Dragons
I am very confused. So I learned the whole word of the bend will shout and I wanted to try it on a dragon I found. After I tamed him he of course didnt attack me anymore. For how long does this last? And can I still kill him after I tamed him. And why does my follower(Lydia) attack me after I tamed him? In generell why should you even tame dragons?

They stay tame for a bit after you dismount and they fly off, but they will revert to wild status soon enough, have never tried to find out how long it lasts, I would guess after they leave detection range...

Lydia should not attack you, but game is prone to mistakes, at aguess because the dragon now has you as one of it's factions, and Lydia will attack Dragons, she is attacking it and flagging you as a hostile.... should not happen, would advise you to dismiss followers before you tame dragons....

Also not much point in taming them, you can't control their flight path, so end up in a circuit with the dragon doing any attacks, not as much fun as it sounds...

There's only one time you actually need to tame a dragon, and that's at the end of Dragonborn's main quest-line. Other than that, you don't really need to tame them at all. The Shout's effects wear off the moment you climb down from the dragon, and it'll fly off. If you use the Shout but decide not to climb on, the dragon will stick around for a while and fight any of your enemies. As for why Lydia kept attacking it after you tamed it, you might have accidentally hit her during the fight; if you do that enough times, she'll start attacking you.
