dose the safe in the arch mage's quarters act as your chest?
after the college of Winterhold questline you become arch-mage as you all know. There is a safe in that room. dose that become your chest. I know if you store items in something other than your chest that can disappear. Does that safe act as a safe place to stor items. Thank you for any answer.

Better than that is the mod for Dwemer cube, see Sightless pit.

So is the safe there the only safe place to store things in the Arch-mage quarters when you finish that questline? Doesn't the room act like a house where you can store things safely on a chest as well, for example?

Probably not, but by the time I become Archmage I already have five houses (eight now with hearthfires), so storage has never been that much of an issue.

Once you are Arch-Mage, all the containers in his quarters can be safely used for storage. They won't re-set. It acts just like one of your houses.
