"New" Engine, right?
So Skyrim SE have kind of updated x64 engine, so it HAS to run much smoother than basic Skyrim(with mods too), right?

No; new engine is more graphically demanding (directx 11 based)

Yes, Mr. Trying-to-be-snarky-about-it. That is the general idea. And for a lot of us it runs fantastic so far. As long as you aren't running it on a potato, it works as advertised.
I dont think they changed engine game is jsut more polished.

They did change the engine. At least to the extent that it is now the more updated version of Creation, and it is 64-bit. There's more to that than flipping a switch.

Not true. As long as you are not running it on hardware too new like using G-Sync monitors, monitors with refresh rates of over 100hz, SLI three-way GPU set-up and so on.......

They had years to do it.

Some hardware has issues with it for now but most of those are easily fixed, like my G-Sync monitor made my game run at around 45fps at first but after forcing off its v-sync and capping the fps to 60 via nvidia inspector all works as intended.

And by my understanding its more or less running in the fallout engine, the game itself is more or less a direct port though so a lot of the *new* scripting features arent being used which is why i assume people are confused but in the future im sure some mod developers can make use of them.

Is that why im locked at 60 on this one but on normal skyrim i average about 45 with dips to mid 30s. Specs are 6700k and 980 @1440

Edit:typo

Why the hell do mods need to do all of this. This is Bethesda's responsibility and their job. Not the job of the mods. Mods don't get payed for this. It's like being a cleaner but only doing half your job because you leave half the job to the guests to clean. This is not how it's supposed to work.

I dunno. Honestly you should be getting 60 fps w/ both games.
You got mods w/ original Skyrim? ENB?

Yes because they release and updated version of skyrim that they never claim is a "remaster" and people expect them to re-program the whole game instead of focusing those resources on the next gen game like TES6...

This SE is just the vanilla in 64 bit without the high-res texture pack, and worser lightning effects.

Do your self a favor guys and dont buy this cash crab, unless u got it for free.
Vanilla crispy game ftw with no cartoon colors and pissy AA methods that looks liked u wiped off your butt.

I seriously don't know what people expected with this. It's Skyrim with some shiny new graphics and updated textures. People act like this was supposed to be full fledged release. It's all I expected and it's all I got. Gave me an excuse to jump back into Skyrim after a quite awhile of not really playing.

Suppose I shouldn't expect much with the Steam community forums anymore. Fallout 4's forums are pretty toxic with whiners as well. It's almost like the whole Bethesda community went down the drain.

Are you playing the same game as i do? This SE version is a lazy ass excuse of Skyrim, they did nothing but re-released it. Its a pure money grab on console players. I uninstaled this SE version cause original has less bugs, has better graphics and can be moded! Soon you all realize that Bethesda wants you to pay for be able to mod SE version....
