I did this on the old Skyrim for like 20 hours in one game - later on it is getting awkward. I mean I used the taxi services very often so I got that big immersion... but yeah...

Try this: Go to your save games folder and remove EVERYTHING in there to a temporary folder on your desktop. Start a new game and save. A new vanilla ini file will have been created in your save games folder. Find the save games you want from your temp folder and place them back in your save games folder.

Not working for me. Everytime I remove the save files and start the game, steam starts recreating all the save files in saves folder... So basically I am not able to create a new vanilla ini file, because I don't get into game to make a new safe, because steam keeps recreating the removed save files...

Same problem here, did you find a way to fix this?
If you use mods, then run LOOT, this might get rid of Crashes.

if game crashes on fast travel your save is corrupt .. due to overflow in the data...
unless you fix the overflow the crash will stay.....
meaning that savefile needs a variable and data cleaning tool for the savefile what can fix its data...
not sure if someone even bothered to make something like that ......
simply a program that delete overflow vaules, delete corrupt references from save and delete obsolete data that is gibberish in the safe file
only way to rescue a corrupt safe that way.
needs a checksum adjustment so the file can be read by the game.

otherwise only way to fix would be making a new game.

Have you had Open Cities installed, I have found in the past if you install this and then later remove it, it corrupts your save and fast traveling seems to cause CTD's (in particular when travelling to Riften).

You could try Skyrim Tools/ReSaver to see if this fixes the issue if you have used Open Cities.

It was because the file was corrupted

Can you explain how to do it ?
