Quicksave not working
Pushing my quicksave button used to work, now it doesn't. It started acting funny to when I pushed it, nothing would happen until I tried to open a menu then it would immediately close said window and save. Now it's not working at all. I push quick save, nothing. Open a menu, nothing. I open my saves to see if maybe if was happening too fast and nope, nothing. It's not quick saving at all. I've tried changing the quick save button and that doesn't work either.

I have the same problem. Did you mange to fix it?

Does your keyboard have a hybrid function system? Meaning if you press your specified F-key, does it also have an icon for something else like volume up? If that's the case then you might have to hold down the function key on your keyboard and then F11 (i think it was?) to take a screenshot.

If that's not theh case, then perhaps you don't have Steam UI Overlay or whatever it's called running. Those are the only two things that come to mind atm

If your Keyboard has the FN (Function) Key, go into your Bios and change the Settings how this Key is used.

Sometimes the FN Key is higher up than the F1-12 Keys.

I have the exact same problem, did you manage to find a solution?

Try the SSE Umofficial patch.

Same thing here. I've tried a few things including using ModManager: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3045369-slow-quicksaving/page-3#entry43888000

And trying the SkyrimTools SE Save Game Cleaner
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5031/?

But no luck. I don't know how it started happening, but my save games are around 5-6MB in size.
What I do notice, is that it'll quick save if I press F5 and then esc right away (when the menu loads)

As a person who has modded the original skyrim way too much (150+ mods at any given time, thousands used over 1k hours of gameplay).

I HIGHLY recommend that you turn off autosaves and do not use quicksaves. Manual saves are slower but are far more stable. Quick/auto saves tend to get scripts stuck and can break other things. (Think a clogged toilet)

I found a fix.

If you have Antialiasing set to OFF or FXAA, it will cause the bug. Set it to TAA (performance hit) but it's the only way I discovered how to restore F5 quick save functionality.

Quicksaves in SE don't work like they did in OG Skyrim. They create full, standalone save files

THANKS! this fixed the quick save bug for me. why would enabling taa solve this issue though? very strange

This thread is almost *7* years old...

And your "fix" didn't work for you either, as neither of these would have an effect on your F5 key.
Opening the .ini probably reset the option/keybind you had changed it to, so it works again.....
