Do console commands disable achievements?
I used the console for showracemenu and then went and did Bleak Falls Barrow, didn't get the achievement. I'd like a definite answer for this.

I know mods do, but there is a mod at Nexus that enables achievments

I have that mod the re-enables it and another mod, I thought the re-enable mod was working, but I read somewhere console commands disable achievements too.

They screw up the game, I never save after using them, quit game and load a clean save.

yes, high risk of you breaking the game in some way unless you use certain commands

It was showracemenu which I've had no problems with before.

I'm currently in a session where console commands are active/have been activated and I got an achievement, so it does not disable it to my knowledge.

It doesn't necessarily mess with the achievements but it can mess with the tables for some odd reason, thereby corrupting your save. My recommendation is to keep it to a minimum if possible.

They don't I killed a guard with a command then killed someone else to go to prison and get the wanted achievement

Console commands don't affect achievements. Depending on what commands used, they can mess with game stability though.

no, but i only use TM for make the UI invisible (for screenshots) and TCL for no clipping, (getting stuck allot -.-) and got achievments after that in the same gaming session

If you want a ton of achevements really quickly, there is a console command that completes all quests at once. However, if the game doesn't crash in the process it will get severly messed up, and you will have to restart the game and load an older save.

You don't get the achievement for finishing the dungeon. You have to turn it in at Whiterun. I was confused too.

However, I do have a question on this topic - how badly will I screw up the game if I repeatedly resurrect my follower? I just got the Azure Star and I really want the mage follower, but I'm worried she'll die a lot because I tend to also play as a swordmage and a sneakthief. If I abuse the resurrect console command is that going to screw up my game in some way?

maybe setting your follower essential is a better plan ....

Console commands don't disable it, which is one reason why a lot of mod users are pissed that mods do, even if those mods just flat out increase the difficulty. I mean, you can still mod to fix that, but it's adding an irritating extra few steps, meanwhile the player who enabled god mode can literally walk around invunerable with infinite stats, or even just type in the command to finish the quest instantly, and still gets the achievements for doing that.
