Never played this game, want to buy... but... saw RealVision
I've never played this game, I have a beasty computer and saw the remastered, but then I saw on Youtube the RV ENB edition. Is that version a simple additional on-top installation or does it require me to tweak a million downloads and settings? Thanks for the assistance.

My advice: Get the Special Edition. It looks quite nice out of the box, and requires no tweaking. Now that the game is 64bit and running DX11, modders will be able to do some wild things with ENBs in the future.

sold. Realized that modders can jump on the special edition tip. Looking forward. Thanks.

No problem. And there are already pages of mods for this version, since most just have to be rebuilt using the new Creation Kit. Have fun!

Yeah, as good as ENB's from the Vanilla game look, unfortunately fps and thus playability is absolutely awful due to the 32 bit engine of the vanilla game and other things etc.

Where as now, we get DoF and volumetric lighting right out the box, and thanks to the new 64 bit engine, we can get even better graphical mods and hopefully now stability that allows us to run at solid 60fps.

Why not? Boris is still active. Why would he not make ENB for SE?

He doesn't feel DX11 games are worth his time.

Of course there will. A 64 bit version of SKSE is in the works meaning implementation of ENB's will be possible agian.

There are ENB's out for GTA V and Fallout 4, given the success of the original Skyrim I doubt there wouldn't be an ENB for SE

I get that, but I don't cateogorize Skyrim SE as DX11 game, but DX11 ported game.

Of course I can't speak on Boris' behalf, but I do think that he will make ENB for SE.

If not, then there is little we can do about that. I had missed that comment, so thank you for sharing it.

There isnt really a question. Original Skyrim plus ENB looks mostly awful in my opinion. Rarely have seen a tolerable setting that didnt completely smear the screen with effects but even if you love that, you can be sure that Skyrim SE will get ENBs as well and the SE has one MAJOR improvement and that is how far you can look. In original skyirm this was very limited and let to gras pop ups all the time. You could set it up that you could look further but it made the game buggy and prone to crash.

The script extender has nothing whatsoever to do with enb.

He doesn't feel DX11 games are worth his time.

He makes some exceptions, like:

Sorry, no. Dx11 modding is much harder than dx9, so require a lot of time, which i can't spent now for non f4, gta5, skyrim games.
