Lydia Equiping

Lydia looks like she is wearing armour, when I check her gear she is only wearing a couple pieces of gear. There is no (Equip) option for her to changes anything about her wears.
Anyone alse seeing this issue?

IIRC you can give her armor and she'll equip it. Pretty sure I had her wearing some kind of cloak when the game first came out.

This, they equip the 'best' equipment in their inventory automatically, you need mods to do it manually.

Well I guess I have gotten too comfortable with the Non special edition of Skyrim. I am debating with experimenting with a couple simple mods out of Nexus. I'll keep people aware of my findingd.

Lydia has Steel armour by default, and it's not unequipable without using cheats (console commands) or mods.

You can however, give her armour or clothing that is better than Steel armour...whether that be through enchantments that give significant buffs, or through a better armour rating.

She is wearing the boots and gaunlets for now. I gave her a flaming Steel sword but she prefers her plain Steel sword. Lydia is not making out to be a very good House Carl. :(

And she has Steel armour in her inventory that she does not show as equipped. :(

Stop BSing. You can remove her plain Steel Sword. That's the first thing I do in every playthrough.

You have to give her things that are *better*, not things that are the same.

Well you just solved my issue with the sword. I wasn't BS'in I am a serious gammer and do what I can to share what I know. So thank you. The only option at the bottom of 'MY' screen for lydia's inventor armour is give or take. She only has i piece of each of the steel armour type at hand and she has not equipped thoses pieces as of yet.

Oh.... When I was first assigned Lydia, all she had in her inventory was that steel sword. So I do not know what gives. I am not able to trust NPC's to be properly equipped as Lydia as an example. :P
