Is anyone else getting clattering noise in shops?
For some reason I walk into shops and Inns and it sounds like an item is banging against the wall - but there is no obvious item doing it. It happens in every shop I've been into so far wondering if its a glitch in my game save or if others are getting it too?

For technical reasons, items are not put onto their "resting place" by default. They are placed slightly mid-air and allowed to settle by the physics engine. If you have a high framerate, the engine tends to go a bit whacky in terms of physics and causes oddities like that. If you only hear it the first time you come in, that's perfectly normal.

Nope it's ongoing - I find if I move everything loose away from the shopkeepers it makes it happen less - like the people are causing the items around them to make noise.

I get it too and it's super distracting. It's great to be in the Elder Scrolls world again, but whenever I enter a shop all bets are off and it just sounds goofy and unprofessional. It seems to be closest by the shop owners. The only two mods I have are Skyrim Unofficial patch, and Achievement enabler. But the sound glitches were going on since before that. The game is running for me at v-sync'd 60fps.

Its the physics bug; ♥♥♥♥ about to fly around d/t high fps.
You have to enable VSYNC or cap fps at 60

Did you do any ini tweaks, like disabling IpresetInterval to off ?
Olrok Oct 30, 2016 @ 5:00pm
Awesome guys. Adding iPresentInterval=1 to the ini seems to have fixed it. I looked in my ini and that line WASN'T EVEN THERE. Thanks Bethesda. Early on when I was playing I was subject to the random crashes that eventually got solved by disabling touch display. When I was playing the first few hours I had the fps counter open, and it was sitting at a solid 60. Then after several black screen crashes the FPS counter went away, and I just never turned it back on.

When I just enabled the fps counter I discovered the problem immediatly. Out in the main world and large areas my fps was steady 72, but in any indoor shop or home location I could hit 144, and that was causing the issues and why it only seemed like it was in shops.

Which .ini did you add it to out of interest and under which header?

The Display header. And the .ini wasn't in the base folder, it was in the Skyrim folder. SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim
