Got torturer's hood from Torturer, anything else different from original?
Like the title says, I got a torturer's hood from the Torturer in Helgen Keep, and I am 100% certain that you didn't find one in the original version (had an old save to test it).

Anyone find anything else that is different?

Not sure yet, but I think the flesh spell visual effects have been changed. The Oakflesh spell makes you look like you are made of wood, and I distinctly remember the flesh spells giving a generic glowy aura in the original Skyrim. I'm assuming the other flesh spells will be similar, and give a look of their namesake (Stone, Iron, Ebony, Dragon)

Either they fixed it, or you're using the Cutting Room Floor mod, which adds that.

I dont remember this happening in the original game, but some of the enemies can hide behind crates and stuff if you aim at them with a bow.

It has to be a mod, because the hood was not available when i killed him and I was not using any mods.

The only time I have ever gotten it is with using a mod. Either Cutting Room Floor or Clothing and Clutter Fixes.

I didnt get the tortuers hood either, using any mods? Using the unofficial patch?

It's not a mod. I'm doing a vanilla playthrough and I got it. I haven't installed a single mod.

Maybe it has to do with the way you kill him? I did a stealth kill. Snuck up behind him undetected. Maybe that's how you get it.

Confused by this... ive used mods in the past to add items like that to levelled lists. And the Special Edition has apparently made no edits to levelled lists at all (only weathers and image spaces).

A dragon flew by carrying a giant and dropped him pretty much right in front of me. Never seen that before.

A surprise and hearty laugh later I got some really nice loot at level 5.

You mean this?

I love it when this happens, I've seen it happen a few times by now. I wonder if it's intentional.

Another thing different is that the choice between the Imperial and Stormcloak during Helgens attack. Rather than activating the door, there is a load zone, like a cave.

I got the hood without any mods installed. Looked up the hood on the wiki, and it is listed as an unobtainable item.

That giant riding a dragon is awesome hahahahaha.

Apologies, that does seem to be the case. I just had to disable my mods to figure out a CTD that kept happening in a specific location, and the effect went back to the glowy aura when I had all mods disabled.

I wouldn't have expected that mod to enhance the flesh spell effects, I was under the impression that it just added in "dummied out" content.

Those are the actual effects in the CK files. Bethesda just didn't use them, and instead used the glow for all the Alteration shielding spells. I actually prefer the glowy-ness.

It's in the original. He travels the roads towards a Graveyard nearish Whiterun with some crypts and a master-level chest. Nothing else to him just one of Skyrims many oddities.

no, it's nothing to do with a mod. I got the hood and I'm running vanilla SE
