Built-In Mod Loading Worth It? Or should I still just use NMM?
I've used Nexus Mod Manager to load mods for Skyrim for as long as I can remember, I enjoyed it so much so that I find it hard to transition over to the Special Edition's account-based mod loading. I haven't tried to load mods with NMM (yet) to the newest iteration, so I don't even know if NMM supports it yet, but for anyone who has tried the account-based modding, is it worth it? I perused the mod selection briefly before beginning a save file, and saw very few mods as it is for PC, let alone anything I would actually use. Plus, the achievement lockout seems a bit bogus to me because of the various unofficial patches and other non-cheat mods.

Best part of the Bethesda mod manager is that it has free almost infinite download speed. Also, it just makes loading mods in general easier.

Yeah, that seems to be the most attractive thing to me is the ease of access and how easy it is. Seems much harder to ♥♥♥♥ your directory or your save file lol.

Yeah, the servers had some issues and are still sending out emails.

Too bad it is still inferior to Mod Organizer, I recommend you use MO instead as it wont place the mods in your data folder which will make it extremely difficult to uninstall them.

nexus already has an achievment fixer that enables them while using mods but its really slow tonight

From looking at the discussions, this seems to be a problem across the board for mostly everyone.

Never heard of MO. Would you say it's better than NMM? And can you still use NMM mods on it? If it's a seperate program, I'd imagine you would have to download the mod's zip instead of launching straight into NMM?

Mod Orgnaiser is the better choice for original Skyrim imo but unfortionali it cannot handle 64bit :(
Development on MO2 has been stopped cause the main developer has joined Nexus to create a new version of NMM.
So i see no real alternativ to NMM for Skyrim SE.

I am not sure how Bethesda's mod manager thing works, but Nexus Mod Manager uses a Virtual Install folder which allows you to install mods over other mods and if you decide to remove any mod it will restore your old files.

Having that feature allows you to try out new meshes, textures, sounds, etc. and you can safely remove them without deleting your previous files.

If Bethesdas mod manager thing does that cool, if not I m not sure I would choose it over NMM.

The Bethesda manager is absolute trash. It's clunky and a pain to use. Mods downloaded are also censored, as far as I know, and have a max file size limit. NMM was updated a few hours after the game came out.

I just don't see myself using the Bethesda mod loader. Seems kind of cheap. I think I'll just stick with NMM.
