For the non SE version of Skyrim I used Flawless Widescreen to allow 3440x1440 however it no longer works. Anyone know of a patch that allows for my resolution?

Google for how to enable it on Fallout 4, it works exactly the same way.

A brief how to:
Start the game from Steam, in options get everything set up how you want it then launch into the actual game. Then close out of it and navigate in explorer to where your config files (now generated and configured by launching the game for the first time) are stored. For me this is:

Documents>My Games>Skyrim Special Edition

Open SkyrimPrefs.ini

Find the line that reads:

iSize H=1440
iSize W=3440

The numbers will reflect the current resolution. Change them to your desired resolution (ie to match mine just set it the same as I've pasted in there) and save the file then exit out.
Right click the file, select properties and set it to read only. This will prevent the game from resetting to a standard 16:9 resolution.

Play the game in ultrawide goodness. As with Fallout 4, SkyrimSE supports ultrawide they just can't make whatever tweaks needed to make it a native selection option ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But that dosent resize the inventory HUD, cant se total weight on the buttom. It is nice to se if you are carrying 182/200 or 52/200 you know what i mean? Do you have a hint wich property to edit for that?
your mums ultra-wide

We all know the ini fix for gameplay - but it doesn't fix the UI. I can;t click on half the elements as they are off the bottom of the screen.

No idea how much weight I'm carrying or how much gold I have or what crafting options I have - all off the bottom of the screen.

Looks pretty good when moving/fighting/interacting in ultrawide - but as soon as the menu comes up the game is snaffed
Another option is borderless gaming, but with that your mouse cursor doesn't have use of the whole screen, that being said I couldn't get past character creation so I don't know if it properly scales the ui. I'll keep looking.

I have the same problem. I modified the SkyrimPrefs.ini file to run in 3440x1440, but the bottom of the UI is chopped off.

I fooled around with the fSafeZone options but they don't appear to work in SSE (or, at least, not at 3440x1440). Maybe someone else can try.

[Interface]
fSafeZoneX=5.0
fSafeZoneY=2.0
fSafeZoneXWide=5.0
fSafeZoneYWide=2.0
fSafeZoneXWide16x10=5.0
fSafeZoneYWide16x10=2.0

I have a Predator X34 at 3440x1440 and I just manually changed the res in the .ini's. You have to change the resolution in BOTH .ini's by the way, the one in the Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition, as well as the one in the game's install directory.

Worked great. Game looks beautiful at this res.

The bottom of your UI isn't chopped off? For instance, when you're crafting, you can see the requirements?

I'll have to go check, I hope not. I didn't play for very long yet, just ran around a little bit so far to see what it looked like haha. I'll report back in a few..

Eugh, Bethesda, really, no 21:9 support, still..................
Yes, I can make it run at 2560x1080 but as usual the bottom of the UI is missing...... :steamfacepalm:

Yep it sure is.... :(

We're going to need a fix for this, that's pretty frustrating.
