The anti AA... wow
I don't think I have ever seen better anti aliasing than the one this game is using.. blown away, even at 1980 by 1020 I can't see a single shimmer or jaggie.. Brilliant. Anyone else noticing this?

Yeah, I love TAA... a bit blurry at times, but can be easily fixed with SweetFX and sharpening techniques.

It's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Anti-aliasing I've ever seen. It's sharp when not moving, but looking at distant objects like trees, and moving, makes it all very blurry. I really would have loved the option to use MSAA. Even the OG Skyrim had MSAA. Instead I'm forced to use FXAA or run the game in 4K DSR mode, which is quite demanding.

Not to be that guy, buuuuut... "AA" already stands for "Anti-Aliasing". So Anti-AA would be Anti-Anti-Aliasing. Yeah...

Turn off the AA and force Antisotropic filtering x16 in your control panel instead. Its as good as AA and you dont need to hurt your eyes on that damn blur that AA gives you

I was thinking that as well.
"Oh so you turned it off?"

But yeah, TAA is a great aliasing technique. Some people don't care for how sharp it makes images look, but I think it's great and the performance impact is very negligible.

AA and AF are completely different things. But when it comes to the SE, I prefer FXAA over TXAA, makes everything much sharper. Also, you can't force anything in the control panel for Skyrim SE, as far as I know (I've tried it myself).

You can't see jaggies because everything is blurred to ♥♥♥♥.

This is not true. Most likely you added the launcher rather than skyrimse.exe to the control panel.

You can force AF in Skyrim SE, you just need to create a driver profile and attach the game's exe to it manually first. (either via nVidia Inspector or AMD Pro, depending on your GPU's manufacturer) Forcing MSAA however, not a chance. (as there are no working AA compatibility flags for DX11 titles)

You do realize AA and AF are two completely different things doing completely different tasks, don't you?

No, I did that but it still did not work. Still possible that there is a way to do it, though.

TAA looks worse than Off. Everything is blurry as ♥♥♥♥ with TAA on.

I just force Edge-Detect AA through my CCC
