well i mean.

Skyrim special edition is using dx11 so that might be part of it. Im ot familiar with this program but generally picking the wrong software version will bork it up.

Skyrim Special Edition uses DirectX 11.

Looking at the files, there are no dx11 files only 9 and 10.

When installing, use dxgi.dll...

Start installer, choose directory with game .Exe, installer asks what API to use(direct 3d 9, opengl, ect).

When asked, download available shaders.

Start game, can take up to 1:30 to load initially.

Shift+F2 opens HUD.

Make you tweaks by turning on shaders up in top window, and change to appropriate values in bottom window.

Click settings tab to change to performance mode when you are satisfied, to remove unused shaders from loading...

Uses dx11. Anyone who tells you it's dx9 is a jive turkey.
