lol even if you get it run on the 940m it will still need to be on low. the 940m is bottom of the barrel ♥♥♥♥.

even the original game which is much less demanding only got in the 50s on all low at just 1280x720.

Surface Book here, NVIDIA forced in the 3D manager for SkyrimSE and SkyrimSE Launcher, .ini files deleted before launch, drivers updated, latest windows update (auto & checked anyways), and still the SkyrimSE is unable to recognize my GPU.

Now before anyone asks, yes the GPU is defaulted to and discoverable by the original Skyrim launcher.

Any other tips, or solutions to this? Bethesda support have given me the same solutions which I have mentioned above, even after I said twice, that I have completed all those steps before even reaching out to them.

Thanks - Alzy

I am deletign the .ini files, there are two of them, it was a last ditch effort to have the launcher completely look for GPU from scratch. Also yeah, I have my games saved on-site not in onedrive. Windows 10!

scanningnow, will revert when stumped lol

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

So, I guesss no issues???

That's what I was afraid of - in theory managing 3d settings via the NVIDIA Control Panel should have forced it, and saved me from all of this extra hassle. However, does it mean anything that my GPU is detected and runs the old skyrim which came out before my laptop was even made which has more or less a custom GeForce made by microsoft to fit/work with the new surface book laptops?? hmmm very weird

So what, just adjust your settings manually. You don't need to worry about that at all.

It doesn't even show a resolution in the launcher, as far as graphical settings nothing changes mate.
