remapping controls

Once again Beth boned us lefties. Have to use a mod to remap controls

Have you FOUND a mod to remap controls? I was using Skryim KeyHelper on the original version... but i dont think it will work on the SE version... Makes me CRAZY i cant remap controls.

I'm using a probably very old mod "numpad bindable". My numberpad seems to work but for some reason the ESC key is now A.

Why on Earth doesn't this game let you remap the numpad? It might be the first time I've seen something like that. There are older games that might not recognize the numpad, but for some reason Skyrim has some sacred order for the numpad which cannot be broken

I created a thread asking if there is a fix for Number-pad remapping...

...but Nobody right-handed gives a flying fcu*.

Really peeved the 13% (lefties) got shoved to the back again.

It proves its a console port; because every game Primarily coded for console has major problems with re-mapping.
From Metal Gear Sold 5 (I had to refund) to this...

I ALWAYS give VERY BAD REVIEWS for games that dont have full re-mapping as Half-Life had even 17-years ago.

Ok - I had to fall back on the ORIGINAL fix that I used when Skyrim came out on 11/11/11/ I uilized AutoHotKey (https://www.autohotkey.com/) . It is basically an opensource freescript editor that you can download - that is easy to use. There is a very short and minor learning curve that goes with it. But once you get it set up you can remap any cotrol to whatever the heck you want to. You basicalyy create a simle script in notepad that you "run" - that tells windows - use THESE keys when you press these OTHER keys. Thats it. Here is an example of the basic script that i used. You can extrapolate from here how you might want yours set up:

How did you get this to work?? I downloaded Normal Tweaks and put the controlmap.txt in Data\Interface\Controls\PC. I then downloaded SkyrimKeyHelper_2000 to remap some keys. A window popup tills me that changes have been made to Data\Interface\Controls\PC\controlmap.txt. But in game nothing is different. Please help me!

You can always use a gamepad if you can't remap the keys too. Not ideal if you're a M&KB type, but probably better than awkwardly playing right handed.

well any leftie i ever met plays with the mouse in his right hand so its not even a matter of it being antileftie, seems like its a really small amount of people playing mouse left hand apparently, just sayin

Man that was like... last year sometime! Lol I'll take a look at it today if I can and see if I can give more info on what I did. To be honest, I loaded the game up, installed that, then haven't played it since because I've just been so busy.

Interesting logic, you do realize that social tolerance is something else than programming a game, also not having the programmed so you can do that would by your logic be the same as not having toilets only for gay/trans/whatever people, havent seen those either...

What does being left-handed have to do with rebinding the controls of the game?

I'm left handed, and I use my keyboard and mouse just like anyone who's right handed would. The normal/standardized way to use a keyboard and mouse. Being left handed doesn't really have anything to do with how you use your keyboard and mouse.

Yes it matters you dumbsh!t. Lefties don't play right handed - if they did, they'd be right handed players. If modders can make a mod in the original to map the dang keys, then Bethesda should have integrated a fix in the SE redux - total lack of giving a crap on the part of Bethesda. They will never get another dollar of my money.
