Poor Performance?
Hey guys,i just started skyrim SE from a long time waiting,and i get a lot of bad performance in exteriors,may this be due to the TAA ? i get about 60 fps in interios and 30 fps on exterior,my system is a R9 380 4GB and a I5 6400 / 6GB/8GB ram,Thanks!

The likely cause is the godrays. Try turning them down to low.

TXAA is a Nvidia tech, stop using it, It's like us trying to use Mantle :tgrin:

I was getting more than that at 4K with my 980 Ti.

Give it a few weeks and try again. I'm using a 980 and 2k and standing still my frame rate is going from a steady 60 to 120 randomly for 20-30 seconds then back to 60.

strange i though the only good thing on pc is a performance boost cause it is 64 bit now - more ram use. I ll give it a try as soon my "must have" mods are available

Ok I FOUND the problem. Its the same bug that I had with Fallout 4.

iVSyncPresentInterval=1

located in SkyrimPrefs

that was giving me problems with my G-Sync. I had to change the value to 0 and then cap fps to 60.

Its butter smooth now.

Hope this help anyone with a similar issue.

Same here, RX 470, exteriors and intro sequence showing terrible fps (20-30)
Also the game looks so very blurry it makes me want to get eyeglasses

None of what you said makes sense. It's TAA a form of temporal AA similar to what Doom uses. It's not locked into nividia or amd, and it produces clean AA at low fps cost.
