Alduin vs Miraak

Miraak says he can defeat Alduin but can he back this up?

What would happen if Miraak meets Alduin out somewhere in the large plain of Skyrim? I'm pretty sure Alduin also thinks he can defeat Miraak so who do you think would win if they met? Alduin the First Son of Akatosh or Miraak the First Dragonborn?!

It took 4 people and a elder scroll to defeat alduin but only one to defeat miraak.

Even Serana's dad could defeat Alduin. Miraak, with a level cap of 150, is absolutely correct that he can take on and defeat Alduin. Dragons simply are not capable combatants in this game because they refuse to retreat when the fight isn't going there way, which it almost never is. Even with a mod to increase the defense, health and damage of dragons and give them more abilities the dragons still aren't capable combatants because dragons lack weaponry and can't use their arms to cast spells. Their wings are too vulnerable as well. When dragons land they are sitting ducks. When dragons are in the air their wings are extra vulnerable.

Alduin being free in skyrim would call all the dragons, miraak would be toast.

lol, how do you come to that conclusion?

Because he is Dragonborn and that was their orignal purpose, he even says it himself.

In terms of the ingame characters, Miraak would crush Alduin... lore wise I believe Miraak would be slightly stronger than Alduin but if he were in skyrim then he'd probably be eating dragon souls like the LDB and so would get even stronger were he to actually face Alduin, Also Miraak can mind control the vast majority of Dragons, so Alduin would end out out-numbered VERY quickly.

As for as in game goes, there are MANY characters stronger than Alduin... Arngeir has a static level of 150! Way above pretty much every other character in the game.
