What you do is type "help itemname" into the console, which will then give you a list of hits and the corresponding id's.
I was able to get glass bow (000139a5 1) and daedic arrows (000139co x) to work, but nothing else (well nothing else that i actually wanted)
no for instance it would be help "dragonscale armor"
Yes you can look them up online just fine. If its from a DLC, then the code would just be listed as xx######. The only thing that varies is the first 2 numbers (xx), and even that won't change in this case as the special edition has all DLCs already included so you just need to know which DLC added it and put in the appropriate numbers.
Yeah for simplicities sake i inlcuded the dlc in what i meant by vanilla. Anyway its faster to just use the console instead of google and will always work.
Just use the help command.
help dragonscale
The above will output any matches and the id's. By any matches i mean it will show you dragonscale armor, boots, gloves etc and enchanted versions as well (use page up/down to scroll). Armor will be tagged by ARMO at the start of the line. Weapons will be WEAP and so forth.
help "dragonscale armor"
This will only show any records that include "dragonscale armor" (if you have two words you need to put them in " ") and will exclude dragonscale boots/helm etc. For example it will show dragonscale armor of major destruction/alteration and so on as well as the non-enchanted version.
player.additem itemid amount
This will then give you the item.
