harvest blood issue help!

so i killed a high elf and get the harvest blood or search body, when i click harvest blood nothing happens, already tried to use addperk stuff that i found on the internet but dosnt seem to be that problem for me ugh!

You sure he was a high elf?

There is a Thalmor Embassy up behind Solitude.

I have it on good authority that Aldmeri blood may be found in the vicinity of that Embassy.

If it doesn't add the blood, move on, I know there are a couple of exceptions for the blood collecting.... I think one of them is Thalmor troops for some reason...

But it's far easier to move on and find another Altmer than mess around trying to fix it.

Altmeri not Aldmeri, they named their dominion after their ancestors the Aldmer but aren't such themselves.... sort of the aspirations of what they hope to achieve..... Divines help them, you can't unscramble an egg, you have to move on and become more than what you were....
