Muiri taking over The Hag’s Cure – Bothela's Shop?
This confuses me somewhat, in several guides I read that if Bothela owner of The Hag's Cure dies then Muiri will take over her shop.
Furthermore I read that NPC's "Disposition" will only change if they see the Player killing an NPC they like.

Now I killed Bothela after doing her quest "Bothela's Discreet Delivery" without Muiri being anywhere around The Hag's Cure ... then I got the Courier came to me with the inheritance of Bothela's Will but ... Muiri does not seem to "take over" that shop. She seems to keep stand around the entrance of Markarth just being a bum

I did go way away from the city of Markarth and the whole Markarth region and let 10+ days pass yet Bothela's body doesn't disappear, another annoyance.

So how do you have to actually do this? Does being in the middle of the The Dark Brotherhood Quest Chain have something to do with this? I mean I didn't fulfill the Contract that Muiri gave me yet.

My plan was, that I get rid of Bothela and then marry Muiri ... being a Breton myself and her being a Alchemist Trader and all fitting into my Game.

Looks like she doesn't take over..... load a save from before you killed Bothela and leave her alone

Muiri tend to be walking around the city untill you do her Darkbrotherhood quest, after that she plant her self in the store.

Interesting! It seems that when a merchant (in this particular case) is killed by the player, a backup replacement doesn't take over the shop. I wonder if this will happen always.

"Usually" for me, she stands around inside of The Hag's Cure ... observed in like the couple times I seen her. On normal Skyrim and Special Edition.
This time, when I consider her as a Marriage Candidate she suddenly not even sleeps in there anymore, she leaves The Hag's Cure and goes out somewhere in the city, I assume the front entrance.

This is exactly why I was wondering. Per Wiki Pages "The Hag's Cure" has only Muiri as backup, but she doesn't seem to want to do her job.

The only thing I can think of, without knowing how the game was programmed, is that those NPC's have "states". In the case of Muiri she talks with you normally when you enter the store not having anything to do with the Dark Brotherhood. Once you start that quest, and get to the spot where she's important I would guess, her state switches to state 2, where she gives you the killing details. Right after that she switches to state 3 where shes awaiting for the player to fulfill the killing/s ... and after the killing/s you can turn that part in and she switches to state 4, her final state for that quest.

It would be interesting to see, that if Bothela dies before you started that whole Dark Brotherhood thing ... how she will act. That and how she acts on Bothela's death after you finished the Dark Brotherhood questchain.
But since I am past the point with the Dark Brotherhood ... all I can do is try out how she acts after I am done with it, to test how she acts before I start it I would need to start a new game.

But to be honest ... what a fail of the two Wiki Sites "The Elder Scrolls Wiki" and "The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages".
