Update for PapyrusUtil

Has anyone heard anything about an update of PapyrusUtil? It's been about 3 months since the last Skyrim SE update and I have a number of mods that won't work anymore.

SSE has not been updated since November '19, and SKSE64 was updated shortly after that (like a couple of days later). As to PapyrusUtil, it is completely up to date and works with the latest version of of both the game and SKSE64. From looking at the Post section of Papyrus (as well as incidences of this that have been posted in the forum) it seems that all the reports of problems turn out to be things involving wrong installation, with people installing other mods which have older versions of PapyrusUtil overwriting this - which IS the latest.

So, ensure that NOTHING overwrites PapyrusUtil when installing mods, as more than likely, those other mods will have older version of PapyrusUtil. This is a problem with some managers, so make sure that they are loading this last.

The latest version on Nexus is version 3.9. That is the official up to date version. As far as I can see (and I do not see it anywhere except as a 3rd party program that has nothing to do with Skyrim or Skyrim SE and therefore should not be used) well, unless it is a beta somewhere - there is no 4,2 available for Skyrim or SSE, nor yet any news of a planned official update; and there is nothing to indicate that either exiledviper or meh321 are working on one (in fact, statements by exiledviper in the bugs section that are just a few months old, strongly indicate that none is currently planned and that all is working as it should - as does our experience in the forum).

@ElanaAhove Where is version 4.2 available? I can't find it in an online search.

Searched it too I can find 3.9, but 4.2 is an illusive one

4.2 is NOT the PapyrusUtil for the game.

Use only the one on Nexus (or other authorized Skyrim sites) - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13048

There is no telling what differences there may be, and only those using the one specifically created and written for Skyrim, version 3.9 will receive support.

(And I found it and will not link it as, like I said, it is NOT for Skyrim. Any information to the contrary is erroneous.)
