For future reference, this site is the first result for doing a Google search for "skyrim script extender", which would have been faster than making a post and waiting for a reply.
EDIT: Several of the pinned topics also contain links and info on SKSE and other valuable information for prospective modders.

Vortex makes this really much simpler.
If you are modding, Vortex really does help a TON.
Vortex cannot dl SKSE64 from Nexus so when you click the link in Vortex it takes you to the silverlock site folks are listing in this thread.
Vortex will go get SKSE64 for you
then show it to you before you download it,
then Vortex will install the entire thing for you

Oblivion's version is downloaded from Nexus (pretty sure it's Nexus) all this info is in my SKSE64 Guide and in my Vortex guide
