RS Children Textures Messed Up and Dark Faces Included
Seems I installed the Lilmothiit Race mod for my game as well as the Lykaois race. I had my character start at Solitude and there was a kid with messed up textures and look like his face melted and the wrists were missing. The wrisLike he got to close to nuclear reactor. I also had HDT. I uninstalled them and then he still had the same problem. I have idea to fix it at all. It's not the game nor Bethesda. Mods! I might have to reinstall RS Children to fix this. This never happened before. I have the screenshot but I can't seem to show it here. FYI- It made me threw up all over my computer. It was f*cking ugly!

You have to upload your screenshot then make it public to post it hear.

And removing the mod mid playthrew is a good way to break it. I would say you have got a mod confict, what did you find in LOOT.

I got Lykaois Race Reborn and that had good hair styles maybe that could be the one.

There is no way to upload the screen here. The menu here sucks!

I tried everything to get it fix and it is impossible to do it. I even uninstalled the Lykaois Race Reborn. If anyone can do it, I like to see proof. I'll just have to uninstall the game and delete the folder. This is a f*cking joke! I did uninstalled the HDT also.

Easy to upload screenshots here.

Is your issue the same as you have on your screens you have uploaded?
If so you have what is called Potato head. That should be fixed in SE version
How have you installed your mods? What tool?

Use sseedit to identify mod conflict

I use Nexus Mod Manager and LOOT make the plug ins in uniform collection. I don't know how to use SSEEdit, Nor is there any indication to tell what mods are conflicting in SSEEdit. Is there any way to do it? I don't think you can.

The black face bug, which is what that messed up head in your screenshot is commonly called, is caused by different mods modifying the same npc. In itself thats not necessarily a problem. It becomes one if you have wrongly ordered your mod and load order. You can read about cause and solution here:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/articles/2090

You can also edit the records in sseedit yourself. Load it up, then rightlick in the left pane and select apply filter for conflicts. Check out what the color coding means (red, orange, green, white). Navigate to the affected nps and have a look in the right pane. There it will start from left (first entry of record) to right (last mod to edit the record). If you have read the above article you should get an idea about how to move forward.

The seams between body and hands are caused by different body mods not playing nice togehter or one body not being completely installed. The hands look like they are from vanilla, while the body is from RS. My guess is the RS children hand mash isn't installed correctly or gets overwritten again. Could be that fixing the face bug by correctly ordering your mods will also address this.

This^ and posting your load order so we all can see what might be the cause. As said above you always check the load order first before going crazy tearing up the load order. Are you using Nexus Mod Manager or the New Nexus Mod Manager which is Vortex. I ask because if it's Vortex then Vortex keeps a text copy of your load order in your a folder. Either way load order please.

This is a rather good step-by-step video of how to identify mod conflicts

To be honest, I had the Lilmothiit Race and the HDT Skin Mesh Physics mod which could have been the problem. RS Children meshes were messed up since that mod with the mesh physics was installed. If I had the RS uninstalled, that would not have happened. I didn't had potato heads since I installed RS Children along with other mods and had patches except the black face bug where that stable kid and others looked like they spent too long in the sun when. So he HDT Skin Mesh Physics could be a conflicted mod with RS children, I had to uninstall the game and the mods and the folder to start fresh.

This would be helpful and I also use auto clean for plugins and I bathe them. The HDT Skin Mesh Physics could have been the problem and when I uninstalled the RS children. The kids were naked along with the stable kid. I could have gone to jail or be on the watch list. Know I know what to do if I have that mod.
LiquidFerret Mar 28, 2021 @ 2:13pm
Update: I figured out why the Children had those dark ugly faces. It seems that the RS Children ESP file was suppose be at the bottom of my load order. It worked. Except the kid in Bruma was naked minus the shoes (PUT ON SOME CLOTHES KID! YOU'LL CAUSE A HORSE BUGGY ACCIDENT!). I thought it was impossible to solve. VERY IMPOSSIBLE TO SOLVE. I did the impossible. The Lykaios race had nothing to do with it. I thought that was the problem. It's the load order that was the problem. LOOT should have known. If you guys have that problem like I do, Make sure that RSChildren.esp file is at the bottom of your load order or if you want to keep the black face because you are a sick freak, it will solve the problem.
