Treasure of Treasure Map X Does NOT EXIST

I had 2 maps for treasures. I find treasure 6 easily with the map.

But i searched for Treasure X for 15 mins and found nothing. Then i watched a YT video, got the exact spot. All i see is a rectangular treasure-shaped hole in the water.

Any help or ideas?

I see one possible bug from fandom wiki. Says to move to another location, make a save, reread the map then travel back to chest location.

I have it missing in vanilla PS4 game, some update or other seems to have rendered it bugged.

Can't speak for the OP, but when I went after it, I had the map, I had the guide (book at home), and it just simply didn't appear..... have done it in the past so I didn't simply go "it's not here", I scoured it methodically, it simply wasn't there anymore....

Yes i had the map from a quest and also i read it. Travelling a few times did not work tho'. So annoying.

Occasionially things just don't get rendered in a cell. I have had it happen in Dragonsreach with the Alchemy table. It was there last time I was in there. NPC still thinkgs its there (Probley just hanging out at the IdleMarker) but I can't use it. Forget about it and notice its back after a while.

I am guessing outside stuff is a whole nother level of problems. I am just guessing the cell needs to reset. Whether that is done by waiting in a safe place or just leaving it for later, is up to the player.

My problem with treasure map x is that the npc that has it almost never spawns and using console commands to get the map doesn't seem to make the treasure spawn

Yea problem is that only will work on pick up as for a lot of other items to progress a quest
