You do have the second word unlocked right? The Greybeard you learned it from should have given you the knowledge, but it is possible it bugged.

Another thing, does it have anything to do with recharge? I am only level 6 rn. And apparently Ro seems to need 20 of whatever energy costs

btw i should mention, when I press/hold Z my character takes one-two steps behind and then shouts....is this normal, or cause of any mod?

I think he takes a step backward when he shouts, so not mod based.

But I don't recall there being any cost to shouts, just a countdown before you can use it again, which increases with each word you use, but I don't recall any values being attached....

Ah.... that may be the cause of the problem.

How to put this diplomatically.... Reddit gives really bad advice as well as really good advice, I would ask on this forum before trying anything Reddit advises, and see if anyone has followed that advice and had any problems...

I would try reverting to a save from before you followed that advice, and ask here for advice on the bug with that quest.

i will just restart the save from the dragonslaying mission....hoping it will be fixed
Note : Restarting the game, force restarting the PC, and launching the game directly from steam multiple times solved it mysteriously.
It was probably a bug.
