attempting to download skse64

so i got everything to work but it's saying SkyrimSE.exe not found. did i dungoof

Did you install SKSE in your Skyrim SE root folder? Where the SkyrimSE.exe file is?

Did you mod put mods into your Skyrim folder already? Because if not then I'd advise to verify your skyrim files and then try it again.

You just download the SKSE64 manually and then go in to the map, copy everything and drop it in the Skyrim folder.

Best way to install mods after that is via Vortex, always use the ''mod manager download'' on all the mods and not ''manual download''.

did the mistake myself doing everything manually before.

I always found it was best to do everything manually, as the enclosed readme suggests. Copy the .dlls to your SkyrimSE folder, and copy the Data to your Data folder. Make a desktop shortcut for SKSE64_Loader.exe and launch the game from there.
