At best you can empty your inventory except for the daggers and the soul gems you'll be using, but if you've got a laundry list of enchantments to choose from, you still have to select those.

For some reason, the more perk points (the first 5 point perk) you have the price goes down and you skill up less.
Seriously? I never messed with Staff enchanting (or those spider things). Cause I would totally do that to avoid the whole Dibella Quest just to access the enchanter master trainer.
(I am thinking it is due to Arma Thalmoris Mod. Their Thalmor staffs usually run in the thousands so I think all staff prices got jacked up. And since Bethesda in their infinate wisdom changed enchanting leveling to be based on price sometime in the early teens. Well, now I just have to get a house with a staff enchanter.
If you feel the need though, jewelry is quicker than weapons when it comes to the grind
So years ago they patched the smithing trick where you could level up by just making daggers, now if you want to level up smithing faster the higher the item value created the more smith skill you get...making jewelry is where it’s at. Use alteration to make iron ore silver and gold. Raid mines. Check vendors for silver ore. Whenever you mine you always get gems which you can put in your jewelry to make them more valuable.
So why did I mention that when you asked about enchanting? I hypothesize that when they patched smithing they may have done it to other skills too. High value skill on high value items I believe boost enchanting higher than just on daggers. I believe fortify sneak is one of the highest value enchantments. Put that enchantment on jewelry and watch that skill go through the roof.
Also, use high level gems, not low level “petty”, that affects things too.
Go after high value items and things will move faster than straight grinding with daggers.
Quintower Manor in the in-game mod browser has a staff enchanter, as well as chests with lots of enchanting supplies (and smithing, and alchemy, and skill books).
Yes, as long as you have a housemod or CC house with a staff enchanter in it.
