Werewolf or Vampire Lord
Which one is better?

That depends on a couple of things: vanilla or modded, is your character a melee character or more an evil mage type, etc.

Vanilla? Vampire Lord. Modded? Probably still Vampire Lord :D I would suggest looking at mods for each as there are so many ways to improve on the base game mechanics of each making them both equally viable. I usually end up as a werewolf due to character design.

Vampire lord requires an adjustment to playstyle since you need to keep your distance to get the most out of it, while Werewolf is less effective as enemies increase in level, after a bit a werewolf will do far less damage than a fighter with a decent sword....
I would suggest werewolf. More fun, plus not as dumb looking. It works for any race if you were wondering, I have a Khajiit that's a werewolf.

Without mods transforming at high level is suicide, werewolf doesn't scale as well as Vampire Lord, the rings from Solstheim help a little but not enough. With mods however I agree, I prefer werewolf to VL.

Both are useless.

I've never cared for power, only roleplay, so I'd simply say, what do you want to roleplay as?

That said, mods I'd recommend for each are...

Sacrosanct - Vampires of Skyrim
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3928

Growl - Werebeasts of Skyrim
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31245

There are other alternatives out there tho, these just happen to be the ones I enjoy. I like the new perk trees and scaling, along with ability to turn others and build my own little family.

EnaiSiaion also has a newer vampire overhaul than Sacrosanct called Sacrilege - Minimalistic Vampires of Skyrim, but I haven't tried it. It is intended to be less script heavy than Sacrosanct I believe tho.

Thanks. Haven't decided yet lmao.
If you wanna feel like Darth SIdious with "UNLIMITED POWER" I suggest taking vampire lord with the aformentioned Sacrosant vampire perk redo for a helluva lot stronger- and better -vampire gameplay.

If you wanna ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up because you realized your stealth archer build may not cut it in this zone, a werewolf is your call to bring some serious pain. I mainly use moonlight tales but Growl is thoroughly enjoyable and has higher stability than moonlight, modding and code wise.

I tried growl but the mod is just extremely buggy. NPCs floating in midair, transformation into a werewolf and pouncing animations are bugged and delayed.
