Permanently stuck in Waking Dreams Black Book

Ive tried killing myself in a couple different ways and i cant go back to a previous save file because theyre all auto saves from me trying to travel back to solstheim

Did you try re-reading the book?
All of the black books can be entered and exited by reading them.

Have you completed the Dragonborn quest line and are at the summit of the Apocrypha?
The large book at the center of the area can be used to exit. Simply use the non-circular part of the black book.

What he said, just reading the black book again will get you out, I had the same problem, I wanted to get out and didn't know how.

Unless you have a mod that affects fast traveling in some weird way (especially disables it). The transition is a kind of fast traveling.

i have no mods downloaded because i wanted to achieve trophies

it just opens the book and the game force closes it out of my inventory and im just left still standing there

If you download The Unofficial SSE Patch and the Engine fixes, your achievements will be enabled again.

Yes.

At the Summit of Apocrypha (after Miraak is dealt with), in the center of the area, there is a gazebo-like structure with a large copy of "waking Dreams" in the center. A first read will allow you to gain access to your skill trees (you can refund a skill at the cost of one dragon soul. This is voluntary). Reading the book once more will exit Apocrypha.

Personally, I like to have three manual saves (along with the game's three auto saves). I rotate saving over each of the manual saves in a "First in, First out" method. This gives me six options on reloading.

I'd add a save at the beginning and just before ending each of the Civil War Quests as that line is especially buggy and prone to breaking.
