Can I placeatme simple follower from mods?
I know that command mess up npcs and quest and I have never used it on any npc but say I have a follower from mod with no quest tied to it, is it safe to duplicate it? safe as in I don't mind the original follower act all bugged out because the scripts won't work right for parallels but will it do anything else to my save?

I'd consider it wiser to just go find the follower and recruit them rather than spawn a copy of them. Could be scripts attached to that specific actor that just wont work on a freshly spawned copy or some other funky stuff that'll happen.

However your save ain't gonna explode though, so there's that. You can try, but no one's responsible for any unwanted thing happening in your game.

The correct thing to do is locate it's reference ID. NOT THE BASE ID.

PRID RefID
moveto player (note the space between moveto and player)

The base ID is the record of the NPC's (Configuration? Not the word I want)
The Ref ID is the Instance of the NPC in the game world (I hope that makes sense)

Edit: AS WAS MENTIONED. Make sure you save before doing ANYTHING with the Console.

Yeah I just locate the followers if I want to find them, thing is, yesterday I cloned a few nazeems in an abandoned save and used them to decorate the outer layer of whiterun wall, it's given me some ideas.

Any NPC that is a unique NPC (and a follower added by a mod IS unique) is one that you should NOT use placeatme on, for the reasons outlined in this thread under the appropriate section (Player.placeatme and Resurrect Two commands that should never be used on unique NPCs):
Regarding Use of Console Commands

(from pinned topic Helpful Links and References, Section 5, General Troubleshooting)

And though the emphasis is on quests that may be tied to a unique NPC, anything which is tied to that NPC - not just quests - will also be negatively impacted.

I mean, if you just want to play around, then make a save before you use the command, and by all means go for it - fun is the name of the game, after all! But once you are done playing around, roll back to the save you made and then continue your main playthrough. Or, keep playing, but be aware that there may be issues - so don't be surprised if problems pop up.

That's all the answers I need, I'll just remove that command from my brain, thanks for the replies.
