Mod Organizer 2 FNIS not finding any animations
This isn't my first time Skyrim modding, but it IS my first time using Mod Organizer 2 and Skyrim SE. I used to use LE and Nexus Mod Manager.

I've installed the Keizaal modlist as the basis for my entire game. I've used Mod Organizer's "Install Mod" option to install FNIS, and used it to install an animation pack (It's Sexlab imma be real with yall). I then used "Modify Executables" to add a FNIS runner to Mod Organizer. Both FNIS and the animation pack are activated in the modlist. However, whenever I run FNIS, it doesn't detect the animation pack at all, and thus doesn't install the animations. The animations then proceed to not work in-game.

I have the FNIS text and warnings here:

I kinda understand the problems, in that it doesn't seem to be reading the correct folder, but I DID install it via the Mod Organizer tool interface and it still isn't working. I don't know enough about raw modding to understand how to fix this.

Any help is appreciated, because this is the ONLY problem I'm having in modding my game right now.

Well, the warnings are pretty self-explanatory. If you're using 'gender-specific animations'....if you don't have it checked, FNIS won't find any. It looks like you do, since a female skeleton is loaded. Also, have you tried running GenerateFNISforUsers.exe from the file? Clearly, there is pathing issues with the installation.

While I don't use MO2 I do use FNIS and FNIS is not exactly a mod in the normal sense, in my case you don't install it with a mod manager. You must place it is in the tools folder of Skyrims data folder. Then generate it from that folder for the first time. You can usually use the tool interface in your mod manager after that but you won't need to as it only requires one run. Make sure to run it every time you install/unistall any animations.

I really didn't consider that, but looking back its pretty obvious the animation set has gender-specific animations.

Does this still apply even if the animation set is installed via the mod manager? Normally I'd have no problem slapping things into the Skyrim folder itself, but this Keizaal modlist, while it looks and plays excellently, is also like, SEVEN HUNDRED something mods, and dear god I don't want to deal with trying to fix that if I mess something up manually.

Yes animations are installed normally like any other mod, it just requires you to run FNIS from outside the Mod Manager one time. I have not used any modpacks but I have over 2800 animations loaded into my game just fine on top of about 200 mods.

I just tried both enabling gender-specific animations and running FNIS from my Skyrim folder, along with then running it from Mod Organizer again. Neither have worked, it is still detecting zero animations. I'm considering putting the animation pack straight into the Skyrim game folder at this point.

Running it from the game folder did remove all the warnings, but still no animations.

Yeah, that worked, at least in terms of getting FNIS to recognize the animations.

Now to see if my entire game crashes instantly lmao

Did you still get path warnings?

I did not, no. Game seems to boot fine, for now.
