A Quality World Map - WAY too bright!
Hi,
I asked this problem months ago on the mod's forum but I got no reply, so I try here.

I installed any of the "A Quality World Map" versions and they are all way too bright. I think it is caused by my ENB or weather and lightning mod. (NAT in my case). How can I fix this so I wont have a ugly map? Any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I keep using the vanilla map for now. Its fine actually. Instead of f*king around with mods, I will play the game now :)

Good idea.... lol
Mods are great but you can end up not actually playing the game!

Yea, I have tried turning off and on my ENB to see any difference, my map was still bright when the ENB was off.

I use ENB CFL II - Cinematic Film Looks for SSE.

I uninstalled and removed the Quality World Map cause I couldn't stand it anymore. And I started a new game to use the mod "Legacy of the Dragonborn SSE" so I'm not sure yet if I can install any other mod now.

If so, I will reinstall the World Map and try it with Luminosity.
as long as the rest of the game is running and looking good that's fine. Without seeing a screenshot of the map (and even then it's not guaranteeing anything) I'm guessing it's a bloom setting, could be snow, could be a few things but it does come to a point where you just want to play as long as everything else is fine.

You know what, I'm gonna do a complete clean install. I need to know what caused this problem. Keep you updated later on ;D

Vlad, I use Vortex, and I know MO2 is "better", but is there a specific way in what order to INSTALL mods? Fixes like Skyrim Unoffical patch first, but what then? Is there a specific group order to get the best stable game.

Vortex is fine, is what I use.
Vortex uses Loot API (built-in) so it will order them for you

but generally speaking:

SKSE64
Bug Fixes
UI
World Space
Immersion type mods
Textures
effects
Lighting Weather Environment
Character Creation
Magic Animation
NPC's like stand alone followers
Clothing Weapons and Armor

Cheers, thanks.

Confirmed, the bright "A Quality World Map" is caused by NAT! Just installed it in a clean fresh Skyrim, the first time I saw this brightness again was after I installed NAT. Damn, I really like my game-looks with NAT + ENB, don't want to use another weather mod.

To be honest just looked at NAT on the Nexus .... no comment section and no bugs section so tons of people could have the issue, but when you download it you'll be none the wiser issues might exist.

Whenever a mod does not have a Posts section, that is a major red flag as regards whether to use that mod or not.

You are now stuck in the position of continuing to use NAT, knowing it messes up the World map, or choose another weather mod (and there are some excellent ones out there, Obsidian and Cathedral being two and both made by JonnyWang13), that not only works with everything, but also is fully supported (meaning it has, at the least, a Post page where you can read what, if any, issues there may be and post any that you encounter, and maybe even a Bugs page to report issues).

Yea its weird, specially if barely other people got this map issue with NAT.

Yes, I see no other options cause I still dont know what causes this f*king bright map.

And that is a problem, because even though the map may not be used a tremendous amount, still, it is used, and if you have problems when using it, it doesn't matter how good everything else may look.

Persistence is the key, you didn't give up. Congrats.

I noticed that when I was researching the mod for you yesterday. I tend to stay away from mods like that as a general rule. Once in a blue moon a legit mod author does not set one up. I've seen it from some legit MA's who just get tired of the crazy comments but like I said it's rare. Bugs section is another story, anyone can post a bug regardless if it's legit or not. And TBH I read the posts section anyway.

But that's all besides the point and a topic for another thread. What counts here is you tracked down the problem. Have fun playing my man.
