Can i switch from Werewolf to Vampire and back?
So, i want a 100% Steam Achievement run in Skyrim SE but that requieres me to be Werewolf AND Vampire, but i dont want to make a new game just for the campire achievements.

Im already a werewolf, so the hybrid bug is not a option. Is it possible to become a vampire and then switch back to be a werewolf, after i got the Vampire achievements? When yes, how often can i change?

Thanks in advantage.

There's a way to cure both, so I think you can just get re-infected as many times as you want. But I doubt you keep vampire abilities after its cured and vice-versa. AFAIK you can only have the abilities of one or the other, but not both.

You can become a Vampire Lord as often as you want, Serana will be willing to turn you after you finish the quest-line. You can only become a Werewolf twice. The first time during the companions quest-line and Aela will offer it again but only once.

So you can get both set of achievements and ability progress is not lost either, if you max out werewolf then switch to vampire than back to werewolf you keep all the perks you had.

You would need a mod such as Growl- Werebeasts of Skyrim or Moonlight Tales to become a werewolf more than twice.

Also why not first farm the werewolf perks and then do Dawnguard?

Thank you all for the answers.
Ok, just to be clear

I Make Dawnguard, change to Vampire through Serana (dont want to make it through Harkon, i don't like this person)

Then Master all Vampire Perks

Then go to Aela and make myself Werewolf again?

Yep, you can do that if you want. If you wanna go Dawnguard you can do the entire quest as a werewolf, getting some perks in the process before going vampire. I will say this though, unless using a mod werewolf does not scale as well as Vampire Lord, might be easier to max out werewolf first.

story detraction, I do prefer to start off doing Dawnguard than becoming a werewolf as a cure, it's much more convenient. But even with Moonlight Tales or Growl I still find werewolves very uninsteresting and underpowered. Vampire lord is much more powerful, and if you use vamp overhauls to top it out, well, vampire lords are simply epic. I only stick to werewolfing ways if the RPing pushes towards that, otherwise I never do, because by extremely-late game, you'll be mostly using magic, and your werewolf form is simply deleted by any mage.
