So you can get both set of achievements and ability progress is not lost either, if you max out werewolf then switch to vampire than back to werewolf you keep all the perks you had.
Ok, just to be clear
I Make Dawnguard, change to Vampire through Serana (dont want to make it through Harkon, i don't like this person)
Then Master all Vampire Perks
Then go to Aela and make myself Werewolf again?
Yep, you can do that if you want. If you wanna go Dawnguard you can do the entire quest as a werewolf, getting some perks in the process before going vampire. I will say this though, unless using a mod werewolf does not scale as well as Vampire Lord, might be easier to max out werewolf first.
