Dawnguard : stop being a vampire and stay on harkon route
I would like to know if i can do the Dawnguard quest on the vampire side without being a vampire. I know i must become a vampire to start the questline on the vampire side but if i cure my vampirism in the middle of the questline can i end it on the vampire side? I've seen plenty discussions here but none about this topic...

No! If you cure yourself the Vampires won't give you the quests, meaning you can't progress.
If you want to do the Vampire side then you need to stay as a Vampire Lord until you finish the questline.

Harkon's side is geared up for Vampire Lords, if you aren't a Vampire the benefits are nonexistant.

If you don't want to be a vampire then Dawnguard is probably a better side for you, even if you are a bad guy.

Sure. Its just a really short DLC that way.

Become a vampire, show up at the Dawnguard fortress, get pincushioned by a hundred crossbow bolts and then staked out for the sun.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

why not try out being a vampire for a while with the better vampire mod
vanilla vampire isnt worth being but thats really no reason not to be something in skyrim
it can make for a very different way of playing thats pretty fun
and if you do find out you dont like it you can always bring a nlack soul gem to the dude in morthal after the quests

How is the Dawnguard the bad side? Harkon was litterly Fooled by a fake prophacy. Which he still wanted to blot out the Sun and damn the world in eternal Night. The Dawnguard weren't trying to Erase the Night or sucking the blood of Innocents around Skyim.

I didn't say Dawnguard is the bad side, I said it's benefits suit non-vampires, including bad guys.

I'll admit my wording could have been better though.

As it turned out, the prophecy wasn't a fake. If you shoot the sun with Bloodcursed arrows from Auriel's Bow, the Sun goes dark.
