Are you kidding?
You should go and read about it on the mod page.
It clearly states there that the mod should not be active during start up.

You dont find anything about on the SSE page you need to go to LE page.
Scroll down on the first page and read.
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35841/

And yes it may work if you start outside Helgen, but not when you do the normal start.
You also needs to trigger all scripts inside Helgen after 4 days or so.

No, I am not joking. Merely stating the facts. If you have an evidence that Helgen Reborn affects the dragon&execution scene, by all means, please share the formid of the change that is relevant to it.

It is long known that the intro cart scene does not start proprely (for example, npcs or pc not sitting in the cart - that sort of stuff, not the wonky havoc caused by more than 60 fps, these are similar but different bugs) if enough mods are added that the scripting engine is stressed when the game starts. But you can use LAL Alternate start and pick the option "I was caught crossing the border" and then the cart intro scene is started well past all the other mods have done their initial initialization whatever routines.

And so it goes with Helgen Reborn, too. Before LAL Alternate start added that option, that was the chief problem with starting new game with Helgen Reborn enabled. Also there are bound to be a few indeterministic glitches in the tutorial scenes or bug reports caused by mods, so it' only sane to recommend installing the mod after it, to evade the inevitable bug reports about Helgen intro cart scene. Do you understand this limitation of responsibility now?

I dont even bother to answer you...............

@Uncle64, your contribution is appreciated. With out joint support forces, Meovyle now know multiple possible approaches to fix this bug, namely:
- using alternate start mod to run a new game without going through Helgen
- using a setstage command to advance the relevant quest MQ101
- uninstalling Helgen Reborn and restarting the game (which is recommended by Helgen Reborn mod author himself).

The last option would also resolve the issue if the glitch is occuring randomly, due to some unrelated reason. In that case it would be restarting the game that really let the game be played. At that point the player is not expected to repeat the lengthy intro multiple times to check if starting the game with Helgen Reborn increases the chance of this bug occuring.

But what really causes this bug? The date of the orignal upload of Helgen Reborn to nexusmods is 12 May 2013, but this is a reupload. However preview videos of Helgen Reborn were published on youtube in January 2013, so it was sometime that year. And the youtube videos showing this bug go back to 2012. Rarely later, but there is one from 2015 as well.

In quest MQ101, at stage 100, Alduin appears, and should fly through a trigger box that sets the stage 99, which gets the scene unstuck. The trigger box is configured to respond only to Alduin, so I saw exactly that bug when working on a mod that replaced the dragon that is attacking Helgen by an ordinary dragon. Could it be possible that Alduin appears in front of this trigger box and yet manages to turn and fly around it (or over it), with a rare chance of that happening? (still, maybe affected by some mods, e.g. a mod that would raise the flight altitude of dragons would have that effect).

@Meovyle, for the above reason would be interesting to confirm or reject whether it was stage 99 of quest MQ101 that was not set, and if not, what stages were set then when the execution scene was stuck? 'sqs mq101' in console won't change your game, it will only dump the stage info (you may need to scroll up with pageUp and pageDown keys to get to around stage 100 on the list).

or helgen reborn is not the culprit and some other mod backfires. given the very limited information of the OP, we cant see which other mods are there or if the load order is not a mess

whats the point of shooting in the dark when there are no reliable information to work with?
GLsimtam Nov 17, 2018 @ 3:00pm
Meovyle, if you could please reciprocate the help and tell me what stage was MQ101 in your game when you had that issue? It's a rare bug to reproduce, it's difficult to find someone who have a savegame with it and could look it up. Thank you in advance.
Grumpy Nov 17, 2018 @ 3:44pm
Cool so you have not 1 but multiple modding conflicts in your game.
Uncle64 Nov 17, 2018 @ 3:47pm
Rs children do not corrupt your save. Since it simply cant do that.
Did you get one nice and shiny box that says that your save is corrupted or did only the children look odd and strange?
That is one big singn of wrong loadorder and that can also explain your other issue.

Before you mess more whit your game, post your loadorder and we can help you sort it out.
Uncle64 Nov 17, 2018 @ 3:50pm
Oh you my friend have other issues in your game going on.

Post your loadorder.

Meovyle - if you really deleted your savegame with the issue, I can see you have no longer means to contribute further to the discussion of the bug featured in the video linked by you. That's why is useful to keep those troublesome saves at least for a while.

For if we consider the suspicious trigger MQ101setStage99, it's no brainer to enlarge it twice, or maybe more - whatever takes it so it would be impossible for the dragon to fly around it and leave the scene stuck. But if in your savegame stage 99 would be set already, or stage 100 wasn't set at all, then it would be a different thing causing this bug, and that would be interesting.

For me especially, because I work on a murder mystery mod where the crime had happened in Helgen before it was destroyed, and as a nice-to-have option, provide an alternate start option set before the vanilla start, and there is no point I wouldn't fix these glitches while doing so.

So first you defend OP from all the people who trying to help, and later you pushes him in the same way than uncle or smr did, so that he provide the answer you want. cool :outlaw:

It's even cooler than that if you are into this - you see, I'm interested in answers that I don't know yet I want, possibly answers not coming from OP but other players who encounter this bug. So I go on and explain various details related to this bug, while generally being more than usually patient and understanding.
