Bodyslide and Outfit Studio - Preview shows "No Image" textures...
This has probably been covered somewhere, but I'm not sure where to find that, and I'm very frustrated, so I could use some help...

So I downloaded this via Vortex, and pathed it correctly (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\BodySlide x64.exe). But when I activate the Bodyslide studio, the "Preview" button shows models, but the outfits have "No Image" instead of their actual textures. According to the FAQ, I'm supposed to run the game via Steam to fix this error.

But whenever I try to do THAT, I get an error message saying that Steam Cloud found a conflict between my local files and the ones saved on the cloud. The thing is, both sets of files show the same date...and NEITHER of them is the correct date of my most recent save files! And from what I read somewhere, choosing either could wreck my current save files!

What do I do here? I seriously need some help...

Start by turning off the save to steam cloud feature. It's trying to "fix" the files that have changed. Second get steam out of program files and into a separate folder. Windows has been tightening up security and it's worse than ever for gaming.

Do yourself a favor and create a c:\games folder and exclude it from your anti virus and anti malware. Move steam into the new games folder and exit and restart Steam. Now when you install a game it will actually be allowed to create the correct sub folders so the textures should appear.

Also remember when you download any mod that includes a DLL or EXE file you'll want to go to the properties for the download and unblock it before extracting it. That should help. Start there.

Hang on...I've got to move my ENTIRE Steam into a new, unprotected folder? It's not enough to just shut off Steam Cloud?

That's the problem with Program Files, it's UAC does not always play nice with modding.

Oh, dear...I don't suppose there's any chance I can just move Skyrim to a different folder, and alter the paths accordingly? Instead of the whole thing?

although I've never moved just one game (I moved my entire Steam) to another folder I'm pretty sure it can be done. Did you try googling it?

either way moving to another drive is ideal and if that's not possible then at least move it out of program files.

what worked for me was going into bodyslide settings and changing the game data path into the data subfolder instead of just the Skyrim SE folder.

Thank you so much for this advice! I'd been struggling with the same issue as the main post, and doing this fixed it.
