UNP problem

so i have UNP on my Vortex mod manager. I install the mod and there it is, but when i go in game the female character looks vanilla and the mod doesnt work. even tho its already in the mod menu. So now im a bit confused and idk how to fix this.

no the UNP plugin is not listed, im using the UNP female body and face renewal. Also there is no red lightning bolt next to the mod listed in fortex. im new to modding and im new to using vortex

ok my bad first of all there is no .esp plugin for those mods. I have plugins on my mind this morning.

you're using this one right?
"UNP Female Body Renewal - A female face and body replacer"

which version do you have?

also, when you are wearing an armor mod the body takes on the armor type. Are you looking at the body with no armor on?

and how many mods do you have and where is that mod in the load order?

you should post your loot sorted load order
Vortex keeps a .text copy here:
C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\loadorder.txt
open it an copy and paste it here

I do have plugin on the brain this morning
it won't be listed there as it does not use a plugin.

ok, open Vortex - make sure you are in the "Mods" section (not plugins )

look up near the top where it says "Deploy Order"

now go down to the UNP body mod and tell me what number it is.

then tell me how many total mods you have

IF you don't see "Deploy Order":
Look to the far right and you'll see a gear wheel - open that and make sure "Deploy Mods" is checked so it will then show a number for each mod.

I'm slow this morning - but at least you're learning your way around.

You are also using ELFX Exteriors and RLO exteriors together. you can't do that. Pick one.

You have alot of ELFX so I'd get rid of RLO but you have several patches for RLO as well. I have not even really taken a closer look yet and this load order could be problematic.

But I'm guessing something is overwriting your body mod so the body mod needs to be moved down.

So i'm betting that being new to modding, you just put all these mods on in one hit.

So for a start do you have the patches for 3DNPC so its compatible with EFFCore ?, you should be staying away from mods that have so many bugs, 54 reported with 3DNPC.

I'm willing to bet you didn't take the time to fully read the mods description and as i pointed out above what compatibility patches are required for said mod.

Do you have these for EFFCore ?

What will it conflict with?
Pretty much any other companion limit modification script. It will conflict with the follower tweak that makes 10 followers possible that is floating around, it does a similar thing but I wrote my own methods that can scale by an array so making 100 possible wasn't far off.

Good you're having a go, but modding is more than just lumping a heap of mods on and expecting it all to work seamlessly.

Also SKSE64 is required not only for EFFCore but a lot of other mods as well, you haven't mentioned if indeed you do have SKSE64.

You have 2 weather mods as well. I'm afraid this load order is a total mess OP (and I still have not really looked at it in detail yet. I see Tramper made some observations as well and he's spot on of course.

Nuke it and start over. Don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach.

Now the ONLY way you can start over is by following EACH and EVERY step to the detail in the Tutorial Video by GamerPoets I'll post below.

When you're done following GamerPoets video you then need to read up on modding.

I try to use plain english in this guide complete with the best and up to date video tutorials and a mod list. at least use the first handful of mods listed here. But please take some time to read about modding basics.
