More gold for merchants, better fun for the player
This game is amazing. One of the best game in my life. But the little thing that makes me sad it's the little gold available at each marchants. It take a lot of time to sell all I pick up and it's just not fun. Not fun at all. So if an update can change that (even if it's with the social skill) and take it into account for an eventual another Elder Scroll it will be very welcome.

There is a companion mod called Vilja. One of the best features is an inventory slot she has for items to sell. She ignores the $$ limit of merchants. I've had her get 12k for high end stuff. You just tell her to do some shopping and she goes to the nearest merchant.
There are also mods that change the amount of gold the merchants have.
At some point though you run out of things to do with all gold you have.

Yea have several games that have no gold/currency limit at all in that regard (Diablo 3, Mass effect Andromeda, etc) just sell the stuff. That said I also have Legacy of the Dragonborn installed and I dump everything in the sell cart which has no limit what so ever. The highest amount from that in 1 run was 50k or something

Rich merchants mod.

You can increase the amount of cash the merchants have by up to 10x.

EDIT:
Run the mod to allow Steam Achievements and you can run mods and still get the Achievements.

I like to play vanilla. Especially that Skyrim Special Edition do not count successes if you play with mods.

You mean achievements .... well there's also a mod for that

This is how you sell everything to the same merchant.

1. Sell stuff
2. Quick save
3. Attack the merchant
4. Re-load the save
5. Repeat step 1-4

Raise your speech skill and sell anything to any merchant. If you raise your speech skill high enough you can add $1000 septims to ALL merchants.

This is how to make it even easier, because why bother.
1. Open console
2. Type in player. additem 0000000f 1 000 000
3. Press Enter.
4. ???
5. Profit.

Because some people lose all sense of fun after they are given stuff instead of earning them.
It loses all value.

Exactly my point. Aren't using exploits and abusing game mechanics literally the same?

Depends on the person.

I don't mind using the rich merchants mod and increasing the available cash by 5x because I still have to manage the loot. If I made all the enemy armor weightless the mods would make the game foolishly easy to me. But because needing to manage loot means I need to plan to take someone with me, I don't see it as a cheat.

There are some amazingly high value items in this game. I have 0 use for a war hammer. But I am not going to leave a magical, ebony war hammer worth 4,000 septims on the battlefield. I fought too hard to get it. I want my 4k. It's almost the value of a house. But you can't sell anything for 4k without the mod and I couldn't carry the war hammer without help.

My typical character is a light weight thief. Taking someone with me or weighing myself down with loot is a big deal. I still have to balance the way I play.

Put this way. Lots of people in Whiterun wear armor. Why would selling 4 or 5 pieces of common kit break (as in run out of cash) all the vendors in a city? It wouldn't.

The vendor cash refreshes in 48 hours or so. If a vendor has $2k in cash today and I sell him a bunch of stuff and deplete all his cash, he will have another 2k in cash in 48 hours. That vendor 'makes' <> 2k in cash every 48 hours. So why does that vendor not have 4k in cash if I don't visit him for 4 days?

Rich merchants mod fixes this. It can be abused, but it can also make the game less grindy. The key is to balance your own play the way you want.

That there, IMO, is the beauty of Skrym. Play it how you want to play it. If it's too hard or boring or too easy, you can tweak it to be the game you want.

I wasn't talking about well and seamlessly implemented mods. I love those. I see almost no difference between quicksave -> punch a merchant -> quickload to restack their inventory and using console commands to give you the amount of gold you desire. I can agree that the one takes less effort than the other, though.

No! What we say is that the only person you can cheat in a single player game is yourself, subtle but important difference.

No it is not the same. Not even close.
If you are a person that use cheats in different games you will not understand the difference however.
