Have you tried using Banish spell?

yeah, apparently you can only cast the spell once as part of the ritual to unlock permanent frost atronachs etc.

But the fact that hes strutting around winterhold hours later is upsetting. Perhaps the dragon attack during the ritual caused a glitch. pesky dragons.

Is he hurting anyone? Sounds rather cool to me :)

ADLM!

All Dremora Lives Matter!
Once you summon the unbound Dremora you need to kill him, not banish him.
You kill him, resummon him, kill him again, etc until he submits when you summon him.

That's the whole point, he submits, or goes through an endless cycle of being summoned then beaten to death.... bare in mind Dremora are usually the ones inflicting pain and death, not particularly used to mortals doing it to them, it's embarrassing to them, so he submits to get it over with...

I am pretty sure you can banish (Might need a higher level version)...I think...you know I don't think I ever tried. I love killing Daedra...so I don't think a quick painless spell would have ever occured to me.

But it does sound like the quest got glitched. Might want to reload an earlier save if it doesn't work.

banish, command and combat and speech do not work. He patrols around the summon sight and barracks

You need to fight him and kill him.

Once you get the sigil stone his part is done, the spell is basically just for that part, it's essentially a junk spell, ignore it (and him). You should now be able to get the master conjuration spells, use them instead

unless you are near a hold....

I sort of like him mumbling on up there. In some playthroughs he stays forever. And that REALLY helps with the dragon attacks at the college, because he does fight them up there on the balconys.

I have the same bug, he still wanders even after I got my spell.

Hes not a bug, he´s a feature. Chauruses are bugs :)

No they aren't!

The definition of a Bug is "An Insect that can suck", Chauruses have Biting mouth parts, therefore even ignoring the number of legs can not be bugs.

A Butterfly is a bug, A bee is not (Bees essentially chew nectar), a Mosquito is a Bug, an Ant is not, etc.
