Anniversary Edition Achievements
Will it share achievements with any of the games? Skyrim doesn't count achievements on SSE

AE is a different game from SE. Just like SE was different from LE. Steam achievements will be independent. If you purchase and install AE, you will have to earn the achievements again for that game.

Is it though?

Well it'll have to be bought, so if it just goes on top on SSE it's fine.

Fundamentally, no. It will be basically SE with Creation Club dressing. However, It will be listed as a separate game in the library for some users.

But as you said, there is still speculation. Will a SE save be playable in AE? Highly likely. Will SE third-party mods work with AE? This is also possible. We can't be sure yet. But the question Will SE achievements carry to AE? Well, this question is easier to answer; no.

AE is similar to that of LE to SE but of course 64bit will not change, it is already 64bit.

I don’t think any SE mods or file saves will work on AE, including USSEP.

I am willing to bet there will be an Unofficial Skyrim Anniversary Edition Patch and not just because of the name change. There is a big changes for SkyrimAE, including no SKSE, which of course means no MCM.

It seems to get SE new content update you will have to go to Beth.net to get it.

If you notice on the AE page on Beth.net it has an update link, as well as a get AE link.
That would mean non English keyboards would not be able to login to get it. But they have not cared about that so far.

If you get AE I’m sure you will have to login to Beth.net to run it, even if there is a Steam Library run link, it will take you to Beth.net login.

So why am I jumping in this thread, BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP. I believe we will have to play SE offline just to avoid the inevitable forced update that will come.

There how’s that for speculation.

I'm starting to fear any thread has the word Anniversary in it, everytime there's a new reason for it to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Oh it gonna got lots worse ...

Isn't it a paid DLC for the SE edition? For SE it's just the whole creation club + 25 extra creations, nothing else. I read, that SE will be replaced by AE in the store, but people who own the SE already buy the AE as a less expensive DLC.

yea it looks like it when there's more information we can do a deep dive in the differences between the editions (apart from the slew of CC content).

From what's been said AE will be a separate version, but it will be essentially SE with a few tweeks...
