xbox type controller not working in skyrim

I have a razer wolverine v2 controller that is recognized in Win 10, works in some steam games but won't work in skyrim???

have you enabled controller support in both the game and steam settings?

Check your ini setting and enable gamepad by changing the 0 to a 1

to
bGamepadEnable=1
under [Main] in the ini prefs file with a text editor (notepad)

Go to: C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition
locate & open your SkyrimPrefs.ini with Notepad
find: bGamepadEnable=1 (make sure it's 1 and not 0)
Launch game and open the >>>Menu>>>Settings >>> gameplay
make sure the Controller box is enabled (ticked)
exit menu & enjoy
If that doesn't work
exit game
go back to
C:\Users\Owner\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition
delete the 2 (configuration files) .ini files
1. SkyrimPrefs.ini
2. Skyrim.ini
Then Launch the game and open the Menu>>>settings >> gameplay >> and enable controller>>> then exit the menu and play your game.

If needed don't forget to right click on this game in your Steam library and go to the Controller section and find a controller set-up for you.
