Trying to Set Illia as Essential, but Command Is Not Working

Her base ID, according to multiple Google sources, is 00048C2F

But when I type

setEssential 00048C2F 1

into the console, then type isEssential with her selected, it still returns a 0. I am running Skyrim: Special Edition on a desktop PC that is only 2 years old. How am I screwing this up please and thank you? Do I need to set her ref ID to essential after I set the base ID to essential? Is the "isessential" command only checking the RefID rather than the base ID? I've been using the base ID with the setessential command. It worked for Erandur and Brelyna in original Skyrim, but it doesn't work for Illia in SE. Did Illia's base ID change between Skyrim default and SE? Are the Googleable wikis lying to me? Pulling my hair out here. Finally found a companion I like and want her to be essential. :/

setessential uses the base id. isessential uses the refid. So you are using both correctly. She is protected to start with so only you can kill her. No idea why it is not working though. Do you have any mods that alter her?
